You are invited to WCSS2026

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the organizing committee, I am delighted to extend an invitation to you for the 23rd World Congress of Soil Science. This esteemed event will take place in Nanjing, China, from June 7 to June 12, 2026, and we eagerly anticipate your participation in this international gathering.

Since its inception in 1927, the World Congress of Soil Science has been convened every four years, serving as a pivotal scientific forum in the realm of soil sciences. The Soil Science Society of China won the bid in 2018 to organize WCSS2026 in Nanjing. This marks a significant milestone, as it is the first time the congress will be held in this region, and we are privileged to organize it in Nanjing.

We expect WCSS2026 to attract diverse participants, including research scientists, soil practitioners, industry representatives, policymakers, regulators, academic societies, students, and anyone with an interest in the sustainable management of soils globally. This congress will provide an exceptional platform for soil scientists to collaborate and tackle the various challenges faced by both developed and developing regions.

Nanjing, a sub-provincial city situated in the Yangtze River delta in the southwestern part of Jiangsu province, serves as the provincial capital and is recognized as one of China's four great ancient capitals. It is also a vital center for education, culture, economy, industry, politics, and tourism.

I look forward to welcoming you to WCSS2026 in Nanjing!
